Competency in Art 1

Still Life on medium bristol. Our instructors ordered us to pick at least 6 objects (simple because I’m a beginner) and draw what we see for 3 minutes then rotate to a different side. Repeat for another 5 times then pick which one we like best. This lesson helps us with proportion and scale using the techniques we learned that week. Basically draw each and if every line, meaning drawing in “3D” in a way. My challenge was drawing the octagon in the background behind the sphere. Getting that proportion right. My difficulty was getting the lower half shaded right due to the lines from the B4 and B6 pencils. Other than that I think I did pretty good.
